If you are eligible and didn’t yet sign up for the PPP, do it now!
It is completely free money for people who are self-employed or run small businesses.
Don’t run a business and don’t know if you are “self-employed”? Two simple ways to check if you are eligible:
- If you filed taxes for 2019, look if you have a form “Schedule C” (see screenshot below). If yes, you are eligible for approximately 1/5 of your line 31.
- If you were paid any money in 2019 via a 1099, you are likely eligible.
You can get the PPP even if you didn’t file taxes yet.
